6 random factoids...

I thought this would be a fun way to end the week.
  1. I sometimes write on my hand things to do when I get home. The more 21st century version of this is I email myself things to do, but I don't always check my email when I get home. I can't ignore my hand. (Although this has caused problems after some of it has washed off. Deciphering smudged handwriting is not an expertise of mine).
  2. At almost any point in the day if you asked me if I had a song stuck in my head the answer would be yes. This could be anything from a song playing on the radio when I turned off my car, a song from a musical I'd been thinking of (or want to see), or even the theme from Star Wars. (It's the ring tone for my sister's cell phone and every time she comes over and gets a phone call it gets stuck in my head).
  3. I used to play the tuba. I started in 6th grade when I was so short I had to turn the instrument sideways in order to reach the mouth piece. So much fun!
  4. If I'm reading a book and the main character is in a bad mood, I will be in that same mood when I put the book down (to make dinner, get the mail, etc). until I can finish the scene and the mood changes. There have also been times while reading where Ben has had to literally shake me to get my attention. (I tend to tune things out).
  5. I'm kind of a hypochondriac. In the past two weeks I told Ben there was a chance I have the following: broken ribs, a crazy disease (that I don't know the name of) that makes my hands swell, a slight touch of swine flu, and migraines. It's gotten to the point where I'm like, "babe, something's wrong with (fill in the blank)," and without even looking at me Ben replies, "you're fine." I tend to psych myself out over things like that. (Man I hope our kids aren't that way).
  6. In total contradiction to number six - I am all about tough love. If you need someone to tell you to get off your butt and do something, I'm your woman.
These were more random than I was expecting. Your turn!
