From 1st grade to forever!

I heart my husband. He's handsome, sweet, and hilarious. As I type this he's sitting next to me on the couch mocking a movie with me.

Let me give you a little history about Ben and me. I've known him since first grade. Actually, in first grade, I was the only girl invited to his birthday party because according to Ben I was cool. I elevated myself to ultra cool during the party - while the other kids were playing, Ben was watching a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle video and I came over and watched it with him. (I later informed him that had nothing to do with him - I loved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).

In fourth grade I wrote Ben a "check yes or no" note, asking him to the end of the year picnic. I still remember the butterflies I got when I passed him the note in class. However, he broke all the rules when he came up to me in line and said yes. As this was my first attempt at being coy I replied, "yes, what?" He goes, "yes I'll go to the picnic with you" and I kind of giggled and said "okay." We then ignored each other the whole time. (Ah, love).

We went to different middle schools, but the same high school where we dated for about nine months. We broke up for a reason that I'm sure was life-changing at the time but which neither of us can remember now. Fast forward to summer of 2004 - I had been thinking about him and wondering how he was doing, saw him on AIM, agreed to hang out, and when we did I was blown away by the chemistry I didn't realize still existed!

We were together almost two years when Ben proposed, and we took our engagement pictures at the elementary school where we first met. We got married October 6, 2007 and I love that I get to spend the rest of my life with him. From first grade to forever. Love you babe.

I'm so behind on this one (your google link reminded me!) and ACK, the cuteness kills me. Congratulations you two lovebirds!
