I took yesterday off work and just as my energy level started going back up, Ben got back from an interview for a job he would have been perfect for, but didn't get, and the person interviewing him was a complete ass. (He has another prospect but we haven't heard anything and we're both starting to get a little panick-y). So I turned to the kitchen. I made chicken, stuffing, noodles, vegetables, and prepared a crockpot meal for tonight. I was kicking some Betty Crocker butt and decided to make some more cookies - you know, the cookies that are delicious and make everyone smile, and one batch makes about 32? Yeah. I mis-measured a lot of them so they only made about 20, half of which I burned.
I have a crap load of stuff to do at work today, but I need to leave early enough so I can deal with traffic and get home to vote. I leave to travel for work in roughly a month, and I have about eighteen million things to do before I leave and while I'm really excited, I'm also stressed about it.
I will hopefully be back to normal soon, but for today I'm going to embrace the funk instead of fighting it and hopefully it will be over.
How are you friends? How was your Halloween? Anyone in a funk like me? Anyone have any good jokes?

Oh I wish I could hug you through my computer. I am so sorry you are in a funk. I was definitely where you are last week. I am feeling better this week, but sometimes you just have to embrace the funk.
So sorry to hear that your husband didn't get the job he interviewed for. :( Bummer, and I am sure that is a major source of stress for you guys.
Hang in there. It has to get better, right?
I think everyone is in a funk right now. I hope things get better for you soon. Here's a big virtual e-hug!
Believe me, I know exactly what it's like to be in a funk. I've been in one off and on for the past month.
I'm so sorry to hear about the crummy interview. My hubby graduates in December, and we still have no job prospects. As long as I don't think about it, I'm fine. The minute I *start* thinking about it, I come unglued. The uncertainty sucks, but know you're not alone! :)
*HUG!!!*
Hey, beauty!
I feel that way sometimes, too. It's the worst feeling ever, but I agree with Lisa, sometimes you just have to embrace the funk! I hope it passes for you soon! And I'm sure the right job will come along for Husband when you're least expecting it! XO
