Embracing the funk WORKS!

That's right. I am here to tell you when you embrace your funk (and by funk I mean bad mood, not hygiene), funny things happen.

Things like the IT people at work finally fixing the problem you've had with your email for the past week. Delight. Seriously. (I think the IT guy was taken aback when I began squealing on the phone).

Things like seeing adorable pictures of my niece. (Look how big she's getting!)

Things like a guy at work asking me extensive chit chat questions about my lunch (in the microwave) and while normally I would find that annoying (people acting like they know about your food is irritating), I just kept trying not to laugh at the ridiculous-ness of it.

Things like Morgan from Let Me Help You Help Me sharing this hilarious video. (Apparently these people had wet patio furniture every day and couldn't figure out why, so they put a video camera out back to see what was going on).

Things like when I called the mister at home for a "good morning" wake up call, he answered the phone saying "baby my hands don't work again." He has a knack for sleeping on his hands so he has the pins and needles effect when he wakes up. And no, today was not the first time this had happened - and not the first time he had to answer the phone when his hands didn't work. (Just take a minute to picture this).

Things like getting a phone call at work saying my new glasses were here, when they weren't expected until the end of the week. Just to refresh your memory - old glasses:

New glasses:

What do ya think?!
(I think I look like a boy in the picture, but it shows the colors pretty well).

Anyone else in a funk? Embrace it! Happy hump day friends!

I love the new glasses! They look awesome on you!

So glad you had a better day!!

And I totally know what your husband is talking about w/ the hands not working. That hasn't happened to me in a long time but totally used to happen to me all the time!

I love the new glasses! They're a beautiful color with a nice shape and look really good on you.

I've decided to tackle my funk by just deciding I'm not really in one. Like the wolf post I did, I'm just trying to focus on the positive and hopefully the negative will go away.
