All At Once

Today I'm channeling my inner Carrie Bradshaw. I'm going to put myself together, look great at work, do my job well, and hope that my outer confidence helps my inner confidence.

I feel like crap (more emotionally than physically), because everything just seems to be hitting me like a ton of bricks. The mister not having a job (and NOT for lack of trying - don't even get me started), is harder than we both expected and I am stretched to the limit with my stress level. We are not doing any presents for anyone this holiday (even each other!) and although Christmas is not about presents, I love finding the perfect thing for each person and I'm trying not to be disappointed that I don't get to do that this year.

I'm just...ugh! I don't know how else to describe it other than that. It's just one thing after another and while some things have been going great (i.e. I just got back from an amazing trip for work), others seem like they'll never happen (us moving out of our tiny apartment and one day being able to expand our family). Plus I feel like I'm so caught up in all of this crap I haven't been able to be there for friends lately and it's frustrating me even more.

So...I guess this kind of turned into a venting post. But, at least I'll look cute at work today, right? (Trying to find the silver lining!)

Feel free to empathize, sympathize, or just kick me in the butt and tell me to deal with life! Anyone else want to share?

Hey, everything happens for a reason. I know it's tough to say that when you're in the middle of something, but maybe there's a grander purpose to why all this crap is happening. Plus, you're suffering from jet lag--that is going to make EVERYTHING feel ten times worse. Think of it this way, you've got each other, a roof over your heads, and your health. Be grateful for what you do have. There's a reason for it.

I'm sorry you are feeling this way. :( I felt like that last week - everything just came crashing down and I felt so overwhelmed. Hang in there. I really hope your husband finds a job soon. That must be so stressful. :(

Hang in there - and feel free to vent any time. I'm here for you!

Everyone needs to vent at some point!! I hear you though, sometimes, things just get so overwhelming that you can't help but freak out. Hug the mister extra tight tonight and be thankful that you have him. You're in it together!

isn't true that when you look your best, you also feel your best? smile :)

So sorry you are feeling this way, love. The holidays are a tough time - so stressful! I hope you're feeling better soon and don't even worry about venting. That is what your blog - and your blog friends - are here for! XO

Aw, its no fun to feel like that! It stinks when stuff just conspires to get you down... at least you have the right idea - make yourself feel good about one area and all the others will have to follow!

Holidays are stressful!!!!
I know it is hard when someone you love - who you know is competent and hard-working - cannot find a job. This miserable recession is hurting the best of us! But it seems like you are doing a lot of positive things with the hard times in your life. You've had to deny yourself a lot (Christmas shopping IS fun!) but you've made the best of many difficulties. So good job!
Now go tell your hubby you need a kiss and hug.

Best wishes to your husband finding a job. My boyfriend has been looking for months. It's tough out there, and I know how you feel.
