Everything but the kitchen sink

That's typically what you can find in my purse. I try to keep things light, but somehow I end up with so much stuff in my bag. Every so often I try to clean it out and get rid of all the unnecessary stuff. (My mom lovingly refers to my purse as a suitcase).

So, inspired by Lisa's Ten on Tuesday, post, I have a fun question for you: What's in your purse?

(For the record this is not my bag - I just thought it was really cute!)

I carry a purse and a separate bag for work. I read somewhere that you're supposed to distribute weight so it's not all on one shoulder. So, without further ado, the contents of my bags.

Purse:

Wallet, Weight Watchers tracker, ring box, wristlet with travel size lotion, purell, mirror, inhaler, fingernail file, and bobby pins. Keys, medicine, hair tie, ballpoint pen, phone list for work, tube of Mary Kay lip balm. Bluetooth headset, blackberry, blistex, 2010 work decal for my car windshield, more keys, and papers as a reminder I need to call our insurance company and ask a question.

Work Bag:

Umbrella, hairbrush, heels (I wear flats to commute in, then change when I get to the office), water bottle, pad of paper, ballpoint pen, various snacks or lunch (depending on what time of day it is).

What about you readers? Do you carry more than one bag? Do you call it a purse, bag, or pocketbook? What's in yours?

I also carry a purse & then a work bag. You know what's in my purse! Way too much stuff, but oh well! My 'work bag' is actually technically a beach bag! It's pink and white striped. Not the most professional looking thing, but it's cute and very roomy! It holds an umbrella, my shoes (I wear boots on the commute), my lunch, and whatever book I am currently reading.

I only have one bag, although two would be a good idea, since mine is currently so heavy I can barely keep it on my shoulder! AND it tends to do triple duty, as I cannot find a diaper bag I like.

I do not believe in the word "pocketbook." That just sounds weird. I felt like such a teacher mom the other day (my mom's a teacher, I can say that) because I was walking out with THREE bags! My purse, a tote for school books, and a lunch bag. Usually I try to just keep it to my purse. But I'm getting so sick of carrying stuff around that I'm thinking of going just to a wristlet.

I carry one large bag that has all my main stuff - wallet, planner, work stuff etc. and then my lunch bag that has my lunch in it! It RARELY rains where I am so I don't carry an umbrella!

My purse doubles as my work bag...which gets awkward. The contents are very regimented, though, and rarely change: hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, phone, wallet, keys, hand sanitizer, lotion, aquaphor (for my lips), lipstick, concealer, decongestants, two types of eye drops, gum, pens, ibuprofen, nail clippers, hair elastics, and a granola bar. Usually a piece of fruit, too, but I eat it during the day!
