Here's to today

I've been reading a lot of Jess and Kelle lately, and I'm blown away by these women. They are amazing, spirited, and have been able to make beautiful memories and share touching moments out of situations that would send most people into a tail spin. I love these ladies. So here's to them, to all of us, today, and everything all of us are going through - good, bad, and in between.
Speaking of choosing happiness, it's time for a big fat shout out to my friend A. She has already made it possible for me to check something off my 30 before 30 list. That's right. I found a tea that I like. I'm so excited!!! So far I've determined I'm not a fan of white tea (although there's still one more I want to try), and I tend to like red tea more. Meet my new friend. I'm hoping we'll have a long and happy relationship.

You know that feeling when you have a loose hair on you? (On an arm, your neck, or somewhere?) Well, in the middle of a meeting this week I had that feeling only on my stomach. When it comes to my hair I shed a decent amount, but I still was baffled that I could have a loose strand from my head on my stomach. But it was driving me crazy, so I reached under the bottom of my shirt. (And before you ask, I was sitting at a conference table, so my movements were hidden from everyone else at the meeting).

I grabbed onto something, and pulled out...a dryer sheet. Yup. A dryer sheet. If that wasn't funny enough on its own, I'd been wearing that top for over three and a half hours! How did I not notice that? So I'm about to crack up, but I'm in a meeting, so I had to sit there with a straight face for another twenty minutes! Never a dull moment, people.

I hope all of you have a fabulous weekend! What are your plans? And out of curiosity - what motivates you to leave a comment on a post? What kind of posts are your favorite? Your least favorite? Do you want to see more book reviews, less rambling posts, more guest blogs? Let me know what you think readers!

Happy Friday!

I realize there are bigger issues going on right now, but I'm so angry and speechless at the ridiculous-ness of people I don't even have words right now.

I woke up the other morning with a dryer sheet in my pajama pants!

And what motivates me to comment on posts is usually if it's something I can relate to.

Oh sweetie, it's so much fun if it's one of your own pairs of frilly panties....and it creeps out of your pants leg while you're teaching an ACT prep class to a room of highschooler. True story.

Too funny! I've never had a dryer sheet sneak-attack me, but I've had panties fall out of my pants in public!

Gosh I hate that 'there's a hair on my arm' feeling. Happens all the time for me since I pretty much shed like a dog these days. Comtemplating cutting my hair off but figure I have enough change happening in my life these days, maybe I need to keep something like my hair constant...

Well, I pretty much comment every day because it's a way for me to have a daily dialog with you. I love all your posts!!

Oh! Thanks girlie. :) I've got no words for how this made me feel...but it's good.

I once had a dryer sheet work its way down my pants leg out of the bottom of my pants. I was singing in front of several hundred people. A tad mortifying.

Oh my gosh, the dryer sheet is so something that would happen to me!

And I think "choose happiness" is one of the best mottos I have ever heard - love it!
