The good news is my blood work is fine, and the doctor put me on prednisone (more on that joy later), for the swelling. My finger is not painful anymore and is less swollen, but still a little puffy. He said I should be okay, but if it flares up again take more medicine and to come back in because apparantly there are viruses that could cause this but the testing can get expensive and he doesn't want me to have to pay for all that if it's not necessary.
So...we'll see? I feel better because I'm not in pain anymore, but at the same time I can only sort of wear my engagement ring. But I can sorta wear my engagement ring. Score.
How has your week been readers? I'm trying to get my bearings again and I want to know what's going on in your world right now. Any weekend plans? Happy Friday!
Oh, and is anyone else blown away by the fact that tomorrow is the first day of May?!

I can not believe tomorrow is May 1st. This year is flying by!! Just insane.
I am glad you have some idea of what is causing the problem. How frustrating, though!
I am glad you are finding your bearings. It's tough to do that after losing someone so suddenly/tragically.
I completely forgot that tomorrow is May 1st. Even worse than Mothers Day is a week away, eek! I had to go order a photobook and hope it gets delivered in time.
I'm so sorry that you've been dealing with so much in such a short time period. Sending big hugs!
I didn't say lots about this when you first posted, and we'll have to wait on your blood work, but it's possible that your body doesn't like the pressure of a ring right there. It feels the pressure and thinks it is getting injured, bruised, or attacked, so it sends fluids to the area to carry macrophages and other immune cells you'll "need". This happens to me, and it gets so bad hat I can't bend the offending finger. Because of that, I don't actually wear a normal engagement ring and wedding band. I wear a small band on my LOWER knuckle instead (no, it doesn't fall off). It still swells a tad, but not like it would if I wore the rings closer to my hand. Crazy, huh?
glad they could give you something... it sucks to not know why your body doesn't like you.
Feel better love! I cannot believe it is May tomorrow, 31 days until my 22nd!
Best,
Hannah Katy
That's a good news!
No more 'ouchy' feeling I hope~
Glad to have found your blog!
