A little rest and a whole lot of hair

Where did this weekend go? I spent the majority of it running errands and can't believe that it's already time to go back to work. I did however get a lot of reading done! Goodbye reading funk, hello great novel! (I'm reading American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld as part of Emily's monthly book club and I am loving it!)

I also got my hair trimmed, so I thought I would give you a little update on how it's going growing out my hair. This is me back in December (when we got the first snowstorm) - my hair barely touched my shoulders.

This is me this weekend after getting my hair trimmed. It may not look like much of a difference, but it's definitely getting longer - my hair stylist said I already have six inches!
I'm hoping to cut it and donate it by the end of the summer, or my birthday (mid-September) at the latest. I'm definitely getting impatient, and I'm not excited about having heavy, thick hair during the summer, but I'm more than halfway there! Any tips for cute (easy) hair styles?

How was your weekend readers? Can you believe May is almost over?

Ooh, and I'm being featured on Jen's blog today as one of her Pearly Bloggers - feel free to head over there and show me some love!

Ohhh your hair looks great! I usually just keep in down...but I do use a great Lush conditioner which makes my hair very soft and they always look good :)
Kisses and enjoy your day :)

I did Locks of Love back in September of 2007. It was the best feeling when I got to finally cut it off! The hair stylist asked me if I wanted a moment before she started hacking away & I was like - TAKE IT OFF. I was so ready for it to be gone! I think I wore it in a pony tail almost every day for the last couple of months!

When my hair is long I twist it up and stick some short chopsticks in. It will keep your hair up all day!

What pretty hair! I put my hair up in a messy bun sometimes (well, a lot of times) :)
Glad I stumbled across your blog!

Oh your hair is SO pretty!

When I had long hair one of my favourite/easiest ways to do it was to have a shower at night, french braid it and then sleep on it. When you take out the french braids in the morning you have beautiful kinks in your hair! And it's SO EASY!

Your hair is GORGEOUS. I love the color and the way it falls. Beautiful!

Taking pre-natal vitamins can help your hair grow faster. Plus it does wonders for nails and skin!

I can't believe May is so quickly coming to an end! It's a little overwhelming that the year's almost halfway over.

Good luck with donating your hair. They required 10 inches, or I'd give it a shot. My hair has trouble going past a certain length.

You have such nice hair! :)

I cannot believe May is almost over, it's always a race against time, so much to do!

When I was home on emergency leave last week I found this little metal clip at Wal-Mart that was supposed to make an "easy up-do" and figured I would give it a shot. It worked really well and I wish I could remember the name of it - I think Goody makes it. It's usually next to the curlers and weird bumpit things in the hair aisle.
