Quirky 101 (part two)

The first time around was so much fun, I thought I'd do this again. Happy Friday!

  • I played the tuba from sixth through eleventh grade. When I started I was so short I had to turn it sideways to reach the mouthpiece, and when I did marching band in high school my parents used to identify me to others as, "the sousaphone with legs," because that's all they could really see.
  • I don't know how this got started but when I'm talking to close friends/family sometimes I use the word tum tum instead of stomach. It makes me laugh.
  • I have to put my right shoe on before my left shoe - even if I'm just slipping into flip flops.
  • I'm left-handed but the only things I do with my left hand is eat and write. I throw right-handed, I kick right-footed, etc.
  • I think it's weird when the mister calls me by my actual name. We have so many silly nicknames for each other but sometimes he'll say "hey Becky," and my response is always, "don't call me that!"
What's something quirky about you? Have a great weekend!

Ha - "sousaphone with legs" - that is so funny!!

I feel like so much about me is quirky. But maybe everyone feels that way?

Here are a few:

- I am uber anal about the way the cords of my blow dryer/flat iron get wrapped. It drives me crazy when someone wraps the cord around the blowdryer. That actually causes the cords to eventually get permanently twisty. I have to tell myself to calm the hell down on the rare occasion that someone uses it & wraps the cord incorrectly...

- When I was in elementary school, I actually wanted to break a bone so I could get a cast. I thought it would be 'fun'. wtf? What is fun about having a plaster cast on an appendage.

So funny that you guys always call each other by nicknames because me and Eric do that too. When he says "Amber" I know he's either serious about something or I'm in trouble. Hehe.

Fact about me? I can't carry a tune in a bucket. I took numerous musical lessons as a kid: violin, piano etc. and could NOT play to save my life!!

I am too many sortys of quirky to record here... but I also think it is weird when my husband calls me "Erin." We always use nicknames, so if he is using my full name he is either very serious or I am in trouble!
