Rice Krispies make everything better

Okay so first off, thanks for all your comments Friday. I appreciate all your encouragement! I figured what better way to feel better than spend time with the mister, continuing the vacation mindset, and of course, making rice krispie treats.
We've talked about how I'm not really a great baker, but rice krispies treats are my fall back. They're so easy (and quick!) to make and I add a little extra ingredient. (Yes, I still have my father-in-law's fancy camera, and yes I made the mister take pictures of me making them).
Three tablespoons butter, 10 oz of marshmallows, and 6 cups of rice krispies cereal. My secret ingredient? A caramel sprinkle I bought from Pampered Chef that is awesome.
Oh, and we have a giveaway winner! Thanks for all the entries - the winner who was randomly selected is...

Lisa from Lisa's Yarns

Congratulations! Send me an email within 48 hours in order to claim your prize!

How was your weekend readers? Any big plans for the week? Do any of you have "fall back" recipes? If so, please share them!

I made rice krispie squares for the first time last month! :) My favourite fall recipes involve baking, we don't have central air so I really can't bake in the summer without roasting us. It's always a treat when it gets a little cooler :)

I haven't had rice krispies in ages. They sound really good though, especially with caramel! One of my fall backs is a cookie called "everything cookies" they are so good and really easy to whip together.

And yay for Lisa!!

HOORAY!!!! I won, I won, I won! :) * Happy Dance *

So exciting!! :)

I love Rice Krispie treats. My friends mom makes them & does 2 layers of them w/ a layer of carmel in between. They are divine!

I've NEVER made rice krispie treats, can you believe it? I clearly need to get on that because it's so easy and they are SO GOOD!

Congrats to Lisa!

Now I'm craving Rice Krispie treats. I don't suppose you could send some my way!? =) Sometimes baking and downtime is the best thing to get us out of the funk. Good luck at work this week!

oh my gosh, how random...my husband and I have been making these non-stop all this last 2 weeks! prior to that, I don't think i'd made them since middle school! Too bad a batch doesn't last us longer than 48 hours...
