Um...water please?

I was going to post this tomorrow but I just couldn't wait! What a glorious weekend! Farmer's markets, World Cup finals (wahoo Spain!), and an absolutely incredible blogger meetup. Nora and Mandy were both in town this weekend and while we had planned to go see monuments, the rain had other plans that prevented us from doing so - which actually turned out to be perfect.

Mandy and I met Nora in Georgetown, D.C. after a hilarious ten minutes trying to catch a cab in the pouring rain that involved laughing, matching umbrellas, speeding cars, and dashing across busy streets.

We laughed, we talked, we strolled, we went into two different bookstores (one of which was three stories!), went into a store where I got in trouble for taking pictures (hmm...sound familiar?), talked about life, boys, family, and I even learned how to put on eyeliner! (Eyeliner intimidates me, and I know it can make a difference so the ladies were my own personal cheering section as I bought and applied it). We got to see a lot of Georgetown (the fancy camera was well used!) which was great because I don't go into D.C. as much as I should, especially Georgetown and it's so pretty!

The thing that struck me the most though (both while we were hanging out and later that night) was how comfortable we all were with each other. Yes we know basic information about each other because of our respective blogs but it just felt so familiar with these ladies like we hadn't seen each other in awhile as opposed to meeting for the first time. When we were saying bye the hugs were so tight and happy!

After saying bye to Nora, Mandy and I met up with Ally for dinner - a great ending to an excellent day! I thought about trying to post all the pictures I took in one post and then realized that would not be possible. So I tried my hand at a video (from the pictures) instead! I'm still a newbie at this so if it's lame don't tell me. I didn't even want to mess with how each of the pictures zoomed in and out so sorry that it always crops to the right - I'll just have to keep practicing! Oh, and be sure to watch it until the very end (even as the music is fading), the last picture is one of my favorites.

Thanks to these wonderful ladies for a fabulous weekend. I already miss you all.

What did you do this weekend readers?

Psst...have you entered my giveaway yet?

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this post and the video Becky. I was telling my mom and stepsister about hanging out with you and Nora yesterday and how it felt like I was just meeting up with old friends. I adore you. A lot.

Ugh - so so so jealous that you 3 got to spend the day together! Looks like an amazing time! I laughed at the Bella should have dumped Edward book. Hilarious. And I love that a make up lesson was in involved (I could use one, too!).

Ok, so you pretty much have to come to Minneapolis in August. :)

Thanks for sharing pics. I also love that song!
