A dapple of my weekend

Ruth does a delightful series called "A dapple of my weekend," and I thought I would borrow the idea from her to show you about the awesome time I had this weekend. It involved family, mario kart, lots of laughter, and zucchini bread.

This little guy made an appearance near our back patio. I am so proud of myself for saying "ooh, look a snake" instead of screaming.
The zucchini bread recipe was from my grandma - it was so much fun making it for the first time with my cousin. Big shout-out to my cousin "in law" for taking all these fabulous pictures! (He has a fancy camera and is a great photographer!)

How was your weekend? And if you didn't see it, I did my first video blog over the weekend - the mister is lovin' the questions so keep them coming!

I totally would have screamed!!! I hate snakes and last time I saw one I did in fact scream, even though it was just a black snake it was a very big black snake.
That zucchini bread looks amazing!!

Awww, I love garter snakes! We used to actively search for them and catch them when I was a kid. We would keep them in a nice little terrarium for a few days before they would inevitably escape. They're totally harmless and so cute!

I love zucchini bread! Looks delicious.

I am not a fan of snakes. I would have screamed and then hacked the hell out of it with a hoe or made my brother do it.

Sounds like a lovely weekend, friend. Very relaxing and its always awesome to catch up with family/friends.

It sounds like such a fun weekend! Maybe minus the snake, because yes, I would've screamed. Probably for 5 minutes. ;)
