My latest obsession: quinoa and pumpkins

Short post today, but I just have to take a second to talk about quinoa.

Seriously people. I love it. I'd heard about it for awhile but hadn't tried it until a couple months ago. It's easy to make and sooo good. Rinse it, cook it, throw in some peppers and dressing. I could eat it for days.
Oh! And my latest favorite OPI color. I've decided to boycott the hot weather by only painting my nails fall colors. This one is the perfect pumpkin orange, and it's called "Chop-sticking to my story!"
Anyone else as crazy about quinoa as I am? Do you want to join me in my quest to push away the hot weather a la OPI? What's your latest obsession? (Food-wise or not!)

I've never tried quinoa.. I might have to hunt some down. What does it actually taste like by itself?

I'm obsessing over old Next Top Model eps. ;-)

I like quinoa. It's sort of bland by itself, but I added some black beans and cheese the last time I had it, and it was good!

I LOVE that nail polish color! I have to get a pedicure before this baby comes, I usually go with a red (I'm Not Really A Waitress, I think) but I might have to try this one!

And I might have to try Quinoa some day :)

That shade of nail polish rocks! May have to get it for myself. I feel like I can never pull off orangey shades but this one is nice since it has a brown tint to it.

I read the post title and was thinking that a quinoa-pumpkin dish sounded so good...
Incidentally I just re-discovered quinoa; my mother is a terrible cook and attempted it once when I was a kid and I lived in horror of the stuff for years. Then I tried to cook it myself and realized we'd eaten it when I was little still slimy and not quite cooked! It was better when I made it!

Quinoa=dirt

I've tried to like it. Chris likes it. Cass likes it. I think it tastes like the underside of a mushroom, still in the ground.

I want to like it, but I just don't. Bleh.

On the other hand, I LOVE the nailcolor! I'm all about the greys and oranges and purples right now, and cannot wait for fall.

haha, chop-sticking my story. what a great name for the polish. I wonder who has the job of naming them? That would be a fun one!

I've never had quinoa. I'm not sure if I can actually do to my CRAZY allergies!

I adore quinoa. It's a great gluten free grain option for me! I just had some quinoa pasta last night for dinner, actually. So yummy!

I am so over the hot/humid weather. I am really trying not to complain because I wait and wait and wait for hot weather when I am complaining about our frigid temps, but I need a reprieve from this. I am def ready for crisp, cool fall temps...
