Autumn Mornings

Hi readers! Please welcome my next guest blogger in the series of wanting to hear more from you. Meet Ruth, who has writing that makes me smile and pictures that blow me away.

Ah, autumn.

You couldn't have come soon enough. Of course I love summer, but the season that ends the heat and bugs and skimpy clothes is a great one in my book. I'll take chilly air and pumpkins and sweaters any day.

And with fall comes the cool, crisp air that seems to have blown in just to replace the stagnant summer heat. It seems cleaner and fresher, somehow.

Which always makes me want to wake up earlier and revel in it.

You know those mornings - when it's hard to get out of bed because the air is so brisk and your blankets are so warm, when you put on a pair of socks and maybe a sweater over your pajamas, when the sunlight somehow seems more orange, with just a hint of winter in it. Those are the mornings I want to capture and savor and taste this season.

Pop some slices of home baked bread in the toaster, and slather with cheese and jam.
Brew some hot coffee and sit idly while you drink it, slowly and in silence.
Play with a kitty or puppy, be carefree like them for just a few moments.
And then maybe, just maybe, hop back into bed for a few more minutes of solitude!

What's your idea of a perfect autumn morning?

My favorite morning is waking up to a cool fall breeze, the curtains billowing out, and just taking a few minutes to relax/enjoy the silence before the day starts.

I'm not together enough to make coffee/eat breakfast at home in the mornings !

Aw, I love that feeling of the contract between the cool air in the bedroom and the warmth of my bed. It feels like I am in cocoon and it makes it tough to get out of bed! But I love mornings where I can linger a bit and maybe pull a book on my shelf and read for a bit before getting up!

I like to run in this cool weather and then shower and head out and do some window shopping!

Love this post! Seriously my perfect autumn morning would be a COLD rainy morning in Arizona which is highly impossible unless I live up north Arizona.
