Don't take pictures of buildings. Take pictures of moments.
This was a moment from this past weekend. A moment of pure happiness, where all my girlfriends were around me talking and I just soaked it in - how wonderful they all were and I remember thinking how much I love them. That was a moment worth capturing.

First, beautiful picture. I can totally tell how happy you are!
My favourite picture of the 1,000 or so we took in Europe is one of us on our Greece cruise. The thing is, it's not the best scenery behind us, just white and a little sliver of the ocean, but I remember being SO HAPPY and IN LOVE when that picture was taken. And I just love it. So much more then the ones of the Eiffel Tower or the Colesseum :-)

You look so incredibly happy! I love it and that quote is amazing. I love taking pictures of moments. I can look back through my pictures, see people smiling or mid-laugh and instantly recall the moment and feelings that are behind the snapshot.

I would say that I tend to pictures of random moments/feelings more so than the place I was in! I'm also a big fan of candids because that's where the moments really come through, you know?

That's a great photo! I def feel like I take pictures of 'moments', esp when taking pictures of my nephews. My fave photos are when I catch them in action instead of posed photograpy!

Someone once told me that if you're going to take pictures of buildings, landscapes, etc., take the picture with you IN FRONT OF THE BUILDING. Otherwise you'll look back on the picture and not have any clue what was happening. I've taken that advice ever since.

I have such a hard time remembering to do that. Whenever I go on vacation, I focus on taking pictures on the things. But when I get home, my favorite pictures are always those with people in them. Now I just need to remember to start taking pictures of my daily life.
