Out with the watermelon, in with the apples

The seasons are changing. This weekend I said goodbye to summer by finishing the last of our watermelon from the farmer's market. I was prepared to welcome fall tomorrow morning with a caramel apple spice from Starbucks, but I was thrilled when my old friend greeted me Saturday morning with cool 70 degree temperatures, which made for fabulous apple picking weather.

I took a ton of pictures (shocker, I know), but again, in order to protect the innocent (as in, not sure who wants to have their face on my blog or not), and in order to not overload you - here are just a few.
Have no fear. Already injured knees were not further injured in the taking of this picture
Apple sticks AKA heaven in your mouth

Once home from apple picking I baked. And baked. And baked. One apple coffee cake and two apple pies. What can I say? Fall weather motivates me.

How was your weekend readers? And are any of you greeting the change in season this morning with a mug of cider instead of a cup of coffee?

Oh yum! What a fun day. I have always wanted to go to an apple orchard but have never been! Some day!

I am def welcoming fall with open arms. It was super cool here this weekend - like in the 50s. Most of my family was not loving this but I certainly did not complain. :)

I plan on running errands today and will be treating myself to my first pumpkin spice latte. :)

No cider for me, but Starbucks has two fall things I adore: pumpkin spice lattes (iced, since it's insanely hot in AZ still) and sea salt caramel hot chocolate. Love, love, love.

I've never had apple sticks but they look soooo good! Looks like a fun weekend. I went to the local farms today and picked up some maple candy - one of my favorite fall treats.
