Exactly what I needed

You know how I said I was going to "just be" this weekend? Well, I actually did it. I snuggled with the mister Friday night while curled up on the couch watching a movie, I spent the majority of Saturday reading (and finally finished a book I've been reading for what feels like forever!), we had dinner with my parents Saturday evening, and after a trip to the store baked my favorite fall recipe. Sunday was full of relaxation, laughter, time with good friends, and more reading.

I actually ended up doing a lot, but I didn't plan any of it, and maybe that's why it was just what I needed. The weather was the epitome of fall and I think it's finally here to stay. I've got a pep in my step this morning and it's because of this weekend. (Well, that and I'm only working today and tomorrow of this week. That helps too!)

Thanks for all of your fabulous comments last week - I'm so thankful for the love and support of you readers - I don't know where I'd be without you!

How was your weekend? Were you able to relax and just catch up with yourself or was it packed with plans? Are you experiencing amazing fall weather where you are too?

Happy Monday!

The fall weather is also here and it's amazing! It was in the 50s all weekend. Love, love, love this weather!

I had a pretty relaxing weekend with a good mix of things to do with T. I got caught up on some things around the house and am pretty much packed for my trip. I leave on Wed am! So excited! :)

I am glad you are feeling better!!

That sounds like such a lovely weekend! :) Ours was good, caught up with my Dad, spent some time with my stepmum doing wedding stuff, and went to a costume party (pirates!), lots of fun too :)

I came home from beautiful West Virginia expecting miserable Southern heat - but happy surprise! It was cool here in New Orleans! I love fall!
I'm glad you had the weekend you needed. Hope your two workdays fly by.

My weekend was quite similar! I did a lot but none of it was planned and that is what made it so fabulous. Enjoy your short work week (I'm incredibly jealous!) and so glad to hear you've got pep back in your step.

Oooh, sounds like such a perfect fall weekend! Sounds like it was very therapeutic. I just love baking this time of year - made a pear + plum crisp and did lots of reading as well.

This sounds so incredible!! :)
My weekend was a little wild because I was still on my trip, but it was an incredible help in relaxing me and refocusing me on what I want to be doing - so I think it had the same outcome :)

That sounds fantastic! I'm glad that you're feeling better and have a pep in your step this morning. This weekend I went to a few Oktoberfest type things, bought a kitchenaid mixer at a garage sale for $10 (it works perfectly!), and a box full of fiesta ware from the fiesta ware outlet just because it was cheap and the colors are so much fun!

I'm so happy to hear you had a great, relaxing weekend. We need those more than we think, sometimes. :)

This weekend was a fun one for me. I took Friday off of work for a simple Mental Health Day and it did WONDERS for me! I really needed a day off to do nothing but sleep & read. Saturday, I did some house cleaning & rearranging, and then went furniture shopping with my mom. And Sunday was filled with more shopping (& buying!) and relaxation. It was the perfect weekend. :)
