Warning: image heavy post!
Wake up really early in the morning, wondering if this will be worth it...
...then step outside and realize it already is.
Make a stop along the way because a full belly is essential to this process.
Wonder how this will ever be anything but apples...
...and be amazed as you watch the process unfold.
Freeze a little!
Then watch a small hand-cranked machine separate apple peels...
...and marvel at the deliciousness of homemade applesauce.
Pour the sauce back into the pot to re-heat...
...and fall a little bit in love with a man who could be your grandpa because he's so sweet.
Add some cinnamon...
keep stirring...
And then can a few jars of sugar-free apple butter.
Relax a little...
...add some sugar...
...can some more...
...then cleanup!
Experience a sense of accomplishment at the finished product.
Sleep soundly that night knowing life is good, especially when surrounded by welcoming people and views like this.
There you have it readers! A step-by-step instructional guide to making life-changing apple butter. Thoughts?

Ahhhh, love it! I basically adore all these pictures. Thank you so much for coming, we all had so much fun having you here. You forgot the the first step is to actually help Pap cut the apples, manage to slice open your thumb and left hand mulitple times and use no less than 7 or 8 bandaids. =)
Such a fun, fun, fun day!
Yum!!! This looks like so much fun!
Awesome! I love the photos. Looks like such a fun, beautiful time. Did you get your milkshake from Steak n' Shake!?
