I love this blog. I love having an idea strike me in the middle of the day and holding onto it until I can get it into a post. I love that I can complain, be excited, and tell you the crazy stuff I say in my sleep - I'm totally myself, and you all keep coming back. (Thanks!)
I've been thinking a lot about what else I want to do with this blog, and out of all the things I've come up with, continuing to give it 110% is my number one priority. I take pride in the posts that I write - and I think one of the biggest things I bring to the table as a blogger is my consistency.
I'm considering not blogging every day single weekday anymore. I'm trying to decide if this will be a temporary shift, or something on a more permanent basis - and if maybe I'll still be blogging five times a week, but maybe one day on the weekends. I've set a pretty rigorous schedule for myself and I've liked it up 'till now, but I think it's time for a bit more flexibility in my blogging. However, I still want to to have consistency so you as a reader know when to expect posts.
So...what do you think? Would you care if I took a day off each week as long as it was the same day or does it not matter to you one way or another? Did you like when I blogged on the weekends before? Am I over thinking this completely?
Happy Friday!

I took a step back from blogging and cut back this fall, too. It was just getting to be too much and I felt the quality of my posts wasn't up to par. Now I aim to post 3 times/week. Sometimes I hit that goal, sometimes I do 5 posts (like last week).
For me, it makes no difference what days you do/don't post, so I don't need a set schedule. I am just happy to hear from you at any time!
I say do what you want to do! I've taken a step back from blogging and I have to say, I kind of love it. (This week was an exception.) I'm rarely a weekend poster, mostly because I'm not near a computer on the weekends.
Sometimes I think posting three times a week is a great change, allows for more creativity and etc. Take a step back and if you don't like it? You can always go back to posting 5 days a week :)
Definitely do what you want! Posting 5+ times a week is amazing, but I only switched from posting three times a week this summer and lately I've only been able to post four times a week. I think doing what you can is the most important thing- I vote you pick your lowest traffic day and just drop it for a while. When you feel inspired, post more, and when you feel drained skip out! :)
I always love hearing from you, but I'm not as aware of my favourite blogger's schedules as they are- I just love reading them whenever I can <3
I think you should do what you want to do and there are no rules :)
quality over quantity always rules in my book. (not saying your blog isn't quality bc it totally is!)
Aw! I think you should do whatever feels right to you. If you're starting to feel a little burned out, then it might be a good idea to rearrange your schedule for a bit! You know that as readers we are always going to be here whether you're posting every day or every month. I think this time of year we need to be kind to ourselves as a sort of hibernation syndrome kicks in. :P Do what makes you happy! <3
I used to have myself on a rigid, post 5-days a week, M-F schedule, in the morning etc.
But then I decided I didn't like that. Now I post when I want and about what I'm thinking about. I have vague posts planned out in my head but I rarely re-write my posts on the weekends anymore.
I actually really enjoy weekend posts and have started posting once on the weekends as well!
Do whatever feels "right" :)
If you FB and Tweet when you post and people follow you there, it won't matter and they will know when to look.
You are overthinking it a tad. People will read you because they follow you and like what you write, not because you post on a schedule. In all honesty, I have no idea when anyone posts. I just read when it pops up in my reader.
I think you should do what you want, what you're comfortable with. :)
Guess I'm with everyone else. I wouldn't mind if you didn't post 5 days a week. Plus with fb and twitter, i never miss a post!
it's your blog who cares what anyone else thinks. post when you want to post. dont post when you don't want to post.
You seem to be in the exact shoes I was in in September. I was getting burnt out from posting 5 times a week and making sure they were great posts. I was missing out on a lot because I was so worried about writing my posts on the weekends and scheduling them throughout the week.
I'm back to a 5-day-a-week schedule now, but I took a good two weeks off from posting and then spent another month just posting when I felt like it (which averaged out to 1-2 posts a week). I have a lot more time now that I'm done with school to post more but I don't use the weekends to schedule posts anymore. Now, I just write them the day before, and if I get to write, I do it. If I don't, I don't.
Honestly, I don't think readers really care if we take days off and don't stick to a schedule. I think it's our own Type A personality that needs to be a Monday-Friday blogger than a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday blogger one week and a Wednesday and Thursday blogger the next.
Take a step back, if you need to! I speak from experience when I say, everyone will still be around!
i agree with some of the comments above mine about doing what you want to do and that makes you happy :) personally i commend your ability to blog 5x a week. i could never do that! even if you blog 3-4x a week, that's still fairly often :)
