Enjoying the ordinary

I closed out January with a weekend of joys and sorrows. (More on that later). However, I also made myself relax, enjoy time with my husband, and revel in the day-to-day.

(The desk you see would be the corner of my husband's work station - and yes that is a toothbrush - he sometimes uses it for a splatter effect).
(I leave for my work trip in just a few days - yikes!)

How was your weekend?

The end of your January has been such a rollercoaster- it makes me happy to know you have so many people pulling for you :)

My weekend was good- lots and lots of work, and welcoming Jesse home again :)

I know things have been crazy for you lately, but I'm happy to see you taking some time for yourself. Your lovely toes remind me I should paint my toe nails! Hehehe. Mine just have some leftover chipped paint from summer. How sad is that?? Hope your year just keeps getting better & better. <3

I can't believe you leave in two days; I know it's been a rough go of things lately but hopefully the trip brings you back to the start of many amazing things for you. Always thinking of you and so glad that you found some ways of escape and to deal with everything. XOXO

Have an amazing time, and I hope you return refreshed and calm and restored. Your toes reminded me I need to fix mine - I lost half my teal in the ocean and they're appalling right now!!

Dear Becky, Nor brought me up to date on things and I'm sending you warm wishes and hugs. As for your trip, omg, it's going to be fabulous. And, we look forward to reading it about it and some photos, too? yes?
You know we just entertained Lisa D here so I'm looking forward to when you and Mandy stop here in the Gateway. Not exotic like your biz trip, but oh boy, we'd be so glad to have you here anytime! Bon voyage!
