Birthday Eats
A lot of you were wondering what I baked/made for the mister's birthday so instead of telling you, I thought I'd show you.
For breakfast, chocolate zucchini muffins...
For dinner, steak and potatoes with baked asparagus...
And a little wine cake for dessert...
(I was going to make rolls as well, but I wanted to make them right so I'm going to whip them up this weekend instead when I can really commit to them time-wise).

If I dated a guy that cooked, I'd love a meal in. But that seems pretty unlikely, so I think in general, dinner out is what will happen. If I lived closer to my parents, I would def choose a meal made by my mom over a meal out, though!

We usually go out for birthdays, but I like the idea of a home cooked meal and getting to eat what you want on your birthday. Some of my friends' moms would let them choose their birthday dinner growing up and I always thought that was so cool!
Um, YUM! This all looks amazing. I'm sure it was delicious.
We have birthday week in my household so we get a blend of our favorite restaurant plus whatever we want to cook/cooked for us. It's kind of fun. I prefer to be home with my family on my birthday with some fabulous homecooked meal but that's just me. I do love a good Mexican fiesta too, though :)

My grandma used to always make me the best birthday dinners. It makes me miss living at home because she would make whatever we requested and I loved it. When I used to eat meat ham and scalloped potatoes were usually the dinner I requested! I still LOVE scalloped potatoes :)
Yumm I love asparagus and that stuff looks good! Did you put any seasonings on it?
