A week in review

*We've had a lot of rain this week, so I've been trying to enjoy my inner hermit-ness, because it doesn't surface very often. I'm finishing a book (review and pictures coming next week - that's right, I said pictures), but I'm also not fighting sadness, instead I'm trying to embrace it. I figure if I let myself really experience it, it will slowly fade, instead of continually coming back.

*Lisa will be here a week from today. After being blogging bffs for a year and a half, excitement doesn't even begin to describe how pumped I am to meet her!

*The book club I'm in is doing some cool stuff this weekend relating to the book we're reading. Again...pictures coming next week! (Um, if you don't think that is very suspenseful, could you pretend? Because I'm having a lot of fun with it).

*One of my cousins is getting married two weeks from tomorrow. This means an incredible wedding, lots of time with extended family and seeing my niece! Fun fact: this cousin and I used to be pen pals when we were younger. I still remember getting excited when I'd see one of her letters in the mailbox. (I'm already preparing the tissues for when she comes down the aisle).

*Awhile ago, Kyla talked about one of the ways she was living a more magical life was starting each morning with an anthem. I've been doing that for the past couple of weeks and it makes a world of difference in the morning! (It also can be dangerous. See trying to put on mascara while dancing. Not good). This week it's been Adele's Rumour Has It. If I don't get her new album soon I might lose my mind.

*Yesterday a friend of mine came by to see me just to say hi. I haven't seen her in what feels like ages, so seeing her smiling face (and giving her a big hug) totally made my day. We're having tea this morning. (Because I'm fancy and I drink tea).

*I am simply besotted with Laura Marie's NYC pictures. Well, besotted bordering on obsessed. It makes me want to visit the Big Apple like, now.

How has your week been?

So excited that I see you a week from today!! Yippee!!

I am definitely intrigued by what you & your book club are doing... Looking forward to pictures! And hooray for a family wedding - and seeing your niece!

This snow + cold weather has put me in a pretty grumpy mood this week. But I guess the upside is that studying isn't so bad when I know I am not missing out on gorgeous spring weather...

You fancy tea drinking girl! Yay for a fun week! I have to say you inspired me to
a. rock out to an anthem this morning while I get dressed and
b. make Ariel be pen-pals with her cousin as soon as they learn how to write!

Have a fantastic weekend!

Thanks for the happy words. I am pissy this morning because it was sunny and 70 all week and now it's cold and dark and more snow is coming. Makes me grumpy. Thanks for reminding me to look for positive things :)

Definitely get Adele's cd. :)

Dancing to an anthem in the morning sounds like such a great idea!

I so want to be with you girls next weekend! Instead I'll be on the opposite side of the US... you must send pictures and texts and things, k!?

My week... it's been long, emotional, however at the same time filled with some bright spots that got me through. It's all been 70 degrees one day and then today? Sleet/wintery mix. Got to love it.

I used to be pen pals with my cousin too! But I missed her wedding (I was in high school and it as the first day back to school, so I missed it). :( But that's cool! I don't know many people who were pen pals with family members. Now she has a blog too and we keep in touch that way.

I'm totally excited for these book pictures :P

Oo I actually do want to know what your book club is going to do- most book clubs I know drink wine and talk about the book for 5 minutes haha.

Yay for Lisa coming! Wish she was coming here haha

I'm reallllly jealous of your weekend with Lisa. No fair! ;)

I had a pretty good week. I can't really complain. And my Spanish test was pushed back two days so I won't spend my entire weekend holed up in my room! :)
