A dapple of serenity

What an amazing weekend. One of my cousins got married and it was beautiful, emotional, full of laughter, and so much love. I'll share some highlights soon but there are a lot of pictures to sort through. (Think...over 300. I might have a problem).

In the meantime, I'd like to show you a little piece of heaven we discovered, AKA my godparents' house. We visited over the weekend, and it was so peaceful! The mister and I were there less than 24 hours but it felt like a week's worth of relaxation. We ate, we talked, we laughed, we ate some more, talked some more, and sat outside enjoying the beauty of nature.
Fun fact: my godfather was my dad's English teacher from seventh through twelfth grade. It was very cool (and a little surreal!) to see yearbook pictures of my dad as a teenager.
Ben and I left feeling so refreshed. (But it took a lot to pull us away from this swing).
What do you do to relax? How was your weekend?

Looks like a wonderful weekend! I love weekends away spent with family. I can't wait for summer when i will see my family more often at the cabin. The swing does look dreamy!

And 300 photos? Holy. Cannasta! That's more photos that I took during my entire trip to Paris!!!! Probably x 3!

Love it! But girl, what is UP with the cyan on your camera? Do you have it on some sort of "underwater" setting? In other news, Julie returns to civilization on April 20!! Get excited!!

I relax SO MUCH BETTER in the summer because I spend a lot more time outside just sitting on the deck reading or laying out in the sun. I find that when I'm cooped up inside during the winter I feel the need to keep busy and productive!

Those are great photos! Can't wait to hear your recap of the wedding. I checked out the photos on Facebook and they are beautiful!

It looks like such a relaxing, beautiful time to recharge! This weekend I took the whole weekend off email to re-design my blog and get inspired again, and it was such an amazing experience. My favourite way to relax is reading in a sunbeam and I'm already planning to do more of that this weekend...and it's only monday lol :)

Can I go there? Pretty please? Looks gorgeous. I could use a weekend like that. My recharge weekends are spent sleeping, sipping tea, eating comfort food and being good to me. :)
