Wine and Love

Today I'm participating in (the newly engaged!) Nora's Wine and Love series.

Things this week that make me want to drink a glass (or bottle!) of wine:

*Allergies. Spring, this is why I loathe you. The birds come out, the flowers bloom, and my sinuses lose their mind. My throat is so scratchy I sound like a man. Although two different people (in two totally different situations) have told me I sound like Lauren Bacall. I'll take it.

*Tomorrow. It's an anniversary I pretty much hate.

Things I love this week:

*Looking forward to Saturday evening. I'm sponsoring a friend who's going through RCIA, and while the Easter Vigil mass Saturday night will be long, it's also going to be beautiful, and I'm so excited for my friend to experience her faith in a new and amazing way.

*Strawberries. They're starting to be in season which means a little less expensive at the grocery store and a whole lot more of them around my house. I've had a cup of them every night this week!

*Videos of my niece. She's so much fun, and is totally developing her own personality. Watching videos makes me miss her a little bit less.

What kind of wine and love do you have this week? Be sure to head over to see Nora, and link up if you're participating too!

Wine: That our office is open on Friday. Even though the market is closed. It is going to be such a dead day! Wish we got it off!

Love: I am also looking forward to Holy Saturday Mass. I love that mass, it's long but it's one of my favorites as I love the beginning where you start in darkness and then spread the light by lighting candles. So beautiful!

Love this!

Wine: Sick baby and getting waaay behind at work, sigh.

Love: Time at home with said sick baby. A few job interviews and the hope of switching to something new soon.

I am not Catholic, but I attended the vigil for a friend 2 years ago and it was absolutely beautiful. I loved being able to experience it, and seeing her very evident joy was quite emotional. Plus there was wine... :)

I love love Wine and Love.
I also have some tough anniversaries in April, so I hear you and I hope you spend tomorrow doing at least one thing that will make your friend look down from heaven and laugh, or be proud of you :)
My wine for this week is that I had a bad cold last weekend and I'm still coughing and it's officially annoying me. My love is that it's vacation this week and the weather is finally starting to get a little better today :)

So glad you joined, and thanks for playing along!

Other wines today: It feels like there is cotton in my ears. I'm also using a computer at work this week that's not mine, and it's so weird. I know, it's trivial but I keep mistyping and etc. Bizarre, eh?

Other loves today: Knight gets home tomorrow and I get to see him which makes me super happy. And I have tomorrow off, which is rather lovely. Looking forward to my Good Friday rituals with the family. (I'll definitely be thinking of you tomorrow.)

I am loving that it is a 4-day weekend! BEST feeling ever. I so need a break from work.

Definitely reaching for a BOTTLE of wine over the insane amount of snow that is falling from the sky right now. Ridiculous.

Have a great weekend, love! XO

Oh my gosh, we have organic strawberries that are just amazing right now and I'm eating them by the handful. So incredible!

Let's see -- since I gave up alcohol for Lent, and Lent officially ends TONIGHT, the start of the Easter Triduum, I will be drinking wine just because I can. Or maybe a margarita. With Julie, because she came home for good last night! YAY!!

I'm definitely participating in this! I'm so so so sorry about your allergies. :( I get sniffles here and there in Spring, but my wife has full blown allergies. I always feel so bad for her! :(

And om nom nom strawberries!!!
