Color of the month

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I might be straying a little bit from OPI nail polish. I tried my first Zoya nail polish color, and I love it. It's an orange-y red, and seems perfect for spring!

Don't get me wrong - I love OPI's clever names and shades, but the Zoya polish seems to be better for my nails and I don't have the same issues I do with OPI. It goes on smoothly and I only have to a do a touch-up once a week (if that), as opposed to every three days. Plus with most OPI colors I felt like I had to do a top coat to give it a sheen and so far I haven't run into that with Zoya. However, I have only tried one color so far, and I don't like that I can only order Zoya nail polish online - but I'm definitely open to more options than I have been before.

Are you loyal to one brand or do you try anything? What's your color of the month?

Happy hump day!

My color of the month... year... decade... = clear. I am TERRIBLE about painting my nails. I can probably count on one hand the # of times I have had my nails painted in the last 5 years. No kidding. I am terrible at it, though, so unless I find someone to do it for me, it's not happening... I need a lesson on nail painting!

You can also buy Zoya at Ulta. They don't have a wide selection, but they do sell it.

So far I have tried Caitlin, but I bought 9 more through their nail polish exchange program a couple weeks ago. I didn't have to use a top coat either and didn't realize it until you said it! Well, isn't that exciting?

I love that Zoya is also a company dedicated to making sure the toxic chemicals used in most nail polishes are removed from theirs. Definitely a healthier option!

Love that color. I was going to buy a similar color for my toes (I can't paint my fingernails-they'd be destroyed at work and constantly chipped ) but naturally by the time I made a decision to go back and buy it it was out of stock. And then I was too lazy to go back for it later. Ha! I think it's so summery, though.

How do you only have to do a touch-up once a week (or every three days for that matter)?? My nails are trashed withing ONE day, any time I paint them. I fail at being a girl!

I've heard really good things about zoya!

I need to schedule a polish stat. I noticed my nails were growing SO MUCH BETTER when I was keeping them polished a couple weeks ago (because I can't chew and pick at them I'm sure) and then I haven't had them polished for the last week or so and they are little stubs again. Sigh!

I still love Sephora by OPI, but I'm with Zoya is just SO good! Ulta is starting to carry small displays. I'm hoping it catches on so we can have more options. :)

Andy's sister works for Butter London, so I get cheap or free product from her all the time. I LOVE the colors and the way they look when dried. Sometimes I feel like they don't go on as smoothly as I would like, though.

I will buy pretty much anyting. NYC. Rimmel. OPI. Sally Hansen. I'm non-discriminate. My favorite color as of late is "Sparrow me the drama," a pretty pink inspired by the Pirates movie, made by OPI. My dad got my mom and I mini-set to split up last week. So fun!

I really want to try the Zoya after hearing you and Ashley talk about it. That color looks like fun. My nails are almost always painted. So much so that right now, they are in really bad shape if I don't have something on them. In the Beauty Bash bag, we got this stuff called ProStrong. I really like it because it makes my nails feel so much stronger than what they are. My heart belongs to OPI colors though.
