Eat it, Read it, Need it!

People. We are at the halfway point for this year. Can you believe it?

Each month I share a new recipe I've tried, something I've read and want to recommend, and something I am craving, want really need.

Eat It: Banana Banana Bread
I'd never made banana bread before, but Pam's recipe was simple to follow, and so good! Sometimes breads can be dense, but this was nice and light - perfect for summer. Honestly, the hardest part for me was waiting for the bananas to ripen. Patience is not my strongest virtue, but when combined with bananas I'd normally eat (or eventually throw out), and I was more than ready to make this bread!

Read It: This article. Time management is one of the biggest struggles the mister and I face, and something we're constantly working on - I really like some of the techniques they talk about.

Need It: Chalkboard U.S. map from Shopdirtsa's Etsy shop. Ben and I keep track of what states we've been to with a laminated map and push pins - this is so much more creative! The map is permanently painted, and you can fill in whatever you want - then just wipe it off with a damp cloth if you want to change it up.
Adorable and functional all at once - be still my heart!

Someone asked me if this series is something I'd link to. Next month is my two year blogiversary and I'll be doing things throughout the month to celebrate - linking up to this in July might be a fun way for you all to participate too. Let me know what you think!

Anything you want to share today - something to eat, read, or need? Happy June!

Mmm, banana bread! That is the only gluten free baked good that I make! So yummy.

Eat it: I made beef in pomegranate sauce this weekend which = awesome.

Read it: I am reading Something Borrowed. It's a easy read, but I am struggling with the whole "I slept with my best friend's fiance and am now trying to justify it" story line....

Need it: For the CFA to go away. I am so over studying for this test, I need a new word for over.

Linking up would be a fun idea! I haven't done that yet, so that would be a fun way to try it.

I also saw the chalkboard maps and thought what a cute idea!

What a cute idea for a map to track where you have been! I love it.

My eat it? Totally ridiculous but the cheddar jack Cheez-Its.

Read it: I'm on Harry Potter #5 right now. I really like it! Of course I have to mix it up with other books since it's 800+ pages, but still a great read

Need it: To not have this stupid cough anymore. Ha. Or in all seriousness, more tank tops that are kind of sexy, if that's possible. Working from home it's a whole different kind of wardrobe. I do "dress up" every day but it's still a weird feeling to not have get really dressed up.

I LOVE banana bread & am confident that I'm unable to screw it up. I once guessed at all measurements & used powdered sugar in place of regular suger & it was STILL delicious!

I need a map like that! I am also trying to make it to all fifty states, but so far am not tracking it with anything. Not even push pins! I need to change that asap...

Eat it: I made a REALLY good leek pasta at the beginning of this month. It was SO delicious.

Read it: One Day. Though I didn't like it as much as others.

Need it: A tropical vacation!

Pam's recipes are always so incredibly delicious aren't they? You know what would make that banana bread even better -- adding in some peanut butter and a handful of chocolate chips. Trust me, it will rock your world.

Eat it: A fabulous strawberries and cream filled yellow cake I made the other day, successfully replicating the idea from one of my favorite bakeries.

Read it: Lucia, Lucia. Love it, read it in one day.

Need it: A fabulous job in the DC area so we can hang out on a regular basis.
