My first handmade holiday post was for the literary lovers. But this one? It's for the risk takers.
First up, the snow leopard ring from Morado. I've worked with Purva before, and all you have to do is browse through her shop to see how incredibly talented she is. (Her products are made of clay!) The fact that she's wonderfully sweet is just icing on the cake. Can't you just see this on the hand of your most daring girlfriend?

I love it when people can pull off a look that's chic and vintage at the same time. This is how I feel about the Miss Evelyn sweater clips from Erin's shop Sunshine and Carousels. It's old soul meets modern elegance, and I can't get enough. I've never seen Mad Men, but it's what comes to mind when I see this clip. (Joan Holloway anyone?)

For the semi-rocker, I give you The Kyla bracelet. Moorea recently came out with a line of bracelets named after her friends, and this one's namesake is the lovely Kyla Roma. (You can order them separately or all together!) I've ordered items from Moorea before and both her products and customer service are delightful...I can see myself becoming a frequent shopper.

Big chunky jewelry can be great, but sometimes the best statement is found in the understated, like these Little Twig Earrings, from Zoe's shop Pretty Zoo. They're pretty and delicate, but they still say so much! I'm always amazed at craftsmanship that can bring life into something and Zoe definitely did it here.

Statements don't have to be made just with jewelry. These Orange Damask Pillows would be perfect for the bold at heart. I actually gasped when I saw them - the colors just pop, don't they?

What do you think? Do you consider yourself a statement maker, or are you friends with one? I hope you're enjoying this series so far - I have to admit, it's been a delight to put these posts together - I'm having so much fun with it!
Happy Tuesday!
(Oh, and if you haven't entered the e-reader case giveaway yet, you should - it's only open for a few more days! Plus, if you leave a comment saying "thanks for the giveaway Jenny" you get an extra entry!)

I always try and go for the handmade holiday gifts - they are always the ones people love the most! Whether it be painting, or making crafts, I feel handmade gifts always say the most! But, when I am not making them, I always go for others handmade gifts because they also say a lot! It really shows you put a lot of thought into it!
You wrote this post for me, didn't you? :P
I want those twig earrings like it's nobody's business.
I have a few pieces of statement jewelry, but otherwise I'm pretty conservative. I adore those twig earrings though!
You've converted me--I'm finding all sorts of things on Etsy, that are so great for people(and not even expensive). Another great gift I got for those Maine lovers in my family is a door mat made from old lobster ropes, handmade in Maine: http://www.mainefloatrope.com/
I think they are really cool and sort of wished I got one for myself when I ordered! :)
I love those twig earrings! Great finds! I love sunshine and carousels products but am nervous about if I could pull them off!
In the last few years I have started to buy at local and fair trade shops where a lot of things are handmade! I got my start last weekend on our vacation in fact, finding a few things for the kidlets, my brother and my mom, all handmade or fair trade (hand made too!). I'm pretty excited about it.
Oh, and am I statement maker? I don't really think so, but maybe? Depends on the day/outfit!
I'm hoping I can pull of a handmade Christmas this year too. Also, I love the Kyla bracelet and have been eyeing it since they were revealed. So pretty.
I LOVE those pillows! Omg! So bright and beautiful.
I used to love wearing big earrings and necklaces but lately I've become a lot more conservative with my jewelry and big earrings have become too heavy for my ears!
I love the earrings! And you're right about the pillows, I love how they pop!
A friend of mine would love that ring. I think I just discovered her X-Mas gift. ;)
I love those pieces - especially the pillows! Love the pop of color! So fun.
I am not one to use statement pieces, mostly because I don't have the boldness/confidence to pull them off, unfortunately... But I think they look great on others!
I love Moorea's blogger bracelets. They're a little bit out of my price range, but they're gorgeous!
Love. Love. Love. I am a huge fan of those pillows and the twig earrings.
