What don't you do?

I was inspired by a post Ashley wrote the other day about how she doesn't do it all. So in the spirit of embracing imperfections, a list of things I don't do.

*I don't always comment on blogs, even when I really want to - if I'm not at a good place to do it (my computer at home), I keep it as "unread" for later, but posts usually pile up and I end up "marking all as read." (If I want to comment but can't, I at least try to tweet at the blogger).

*I don't always take my dishes from the table to the kitchen, but I nag the mister about it when he doesn't either.

*I rarely put my clothes away after I wash them. They're folded or draped on the bed, ready to be hung, but it's like the five-minute task of putting them on hangers is too much to ask so they stay draped in a pile that gets moved from place to place until I either put them away (and vow to never do this again), or I've worn them all and have to wash them and start over.

*I don't use the perfectly fine desk in our bedroom, I tend to spread out on the dining room table. So the first thing you see when you walk in our door is papers, my laptop, and usually my camera. (Actually you wouldn't see that, because I only clean when people are coming over - so as far as you're concerned our house looks tidy and put together).

*I don't wash my hair every day. (It would get way too greasy, plus drying it that much wouldn't be good either - I'm an every-other day kind of girl).

*I don't always take advantage of the time with my husband when he's home in the evenings. We'll both be in the same room but engaged in totally different activities (usually both on our computers).

*I don't go to bed early enough. Ever. Twice this week I've been so tired on the way home I could have cried. (Ben lectured me yesterday because he said I sounded "run down" on the phone).

*I don't leave myself enough time in the morning to get ready. Actually, that's not true. I get up with plenty of time but I get on the computer and get distracted start reading blogs, and then rush around trying to get dressed, do my makeup, and pack a lunch in 20 minutes or less.

What don't you do?

I don't get out of bed early enough to feel awake by the time I get to work.

I don't iron clothes - I hang my shirts on the line on hangers so they are ready to be put away wrinkle free

I don't blow dry my hair enough, it gets tied up still wet then dries with a big kink in it.

I don't bother to sort my PJ's into matching pairs so I end up in odd combos (like tonights red and green xmas top with pink stripey bottoms)

I'm definitely guilty of rushing to get ready in the morning because I spent the morning ready blogs : )

I answered this on Nilsa's blog yesterday & Amber's earlier so I am running out of don'ts! I will recycle some...

- I don't care that my PSL costs $5. I buy one once a week and it's a worthwhile treat for me because it makes me unbelievably happy.
- I don't eat dinner at my dining room table very often. Most days I eat on my couch while reading blogs.
- I don't like leggings. At all. Unless they are worn as tights with a dress or something like that. I wish that trend would go away.

Ha, ha, I love this! I don't buy many fresh veggies. Frozen's just as good. I don't clean my shower as often as I should. I don't vacuum more than once a week (and these past couple weeks, only every other). I don't find keeping a home all that fun. I'd rather be blogging or taking millions of pictures of my daughter at the park.

I love these posts. Between you, Ashley and Amber, I'm so excited to write my own.

These are so fun.

I don't always forgive easily, even if I should. And I don't let go of grudges easily either.

I don't wash my hair everyday either (too much work and it dries out too much).

I don't always unload the dishwasher after it's clean because sometimes it's a pain the butt.

I don't work at/on the kitchen table everyday partially because the chairs hurt my bum and partially because working on the couch is easier/better for me.

I don't blog or comment nearly enough these days either and it shows...

I don't tell my friends often enough just how much I love them!

Lol we are so brain twins!!! Love this!

Your 'I Don't' list made me remember more that I have!

- I don't get ready fast in the morning either and usually spend too much time on my computer (blogging and tweeting) and then end up feeling rushed!
- I don't walk the dog every day and some days we tire her out by throwing her toy back and forth across the living room

I don't arrive anywhere on time, I don't eat enough fruits or vegetables, I don't go to bed before midnight, I don't return phone calls, I don't ever find new music & I don't unload the dishwasher. Sigh.

I am pretty good about mornings- but I am definitely like you when I have weekend plans- I'll do nothing all day and then be like AH gotta get ready in like 20 minutes, oops.

I love the list of I don'ts...so here's a few of mine:
I don't fold my clothes. They are clean and sit in piles for weeks until I can't stand it.

I don't shower everyday, only every other dayN because my skin is so dry.

I don't listen to lady gaga or katy perry because their music is neither artsy or classy and it kills my soul and is skanky.

I don't apologize that I am Catholic ever. I have given my life and heart to working for the ChurchN so I won't ever apologize.

I don't have a person blog, but I should.

I don't post my thoughts on politics or particular candidates anywhere or talk about it because peopke think I represent the Church and because I feel like it goes no where.

I don't stick to a budget well, but I am trying to do better.

I don't drink coffee, but I do drink tea.

I don't own a blow dryer and therefore do not blow dry my hair.

I don't like jeggings and I judge people who wear them.

I don't dislike being a grown up, but I wish I could spend a few more years not paying bills!

I don't have my work email synced to my blackberry because, it keeps me humble and reminds me that the world will not fall apart without me.

Oh my gosh, Becky - it's like you took the words right out of my mouth. Evidently we have ALL of the same bad habits! ;)

ME TOO! Also, I don't remember to email responses to comments. I THINK responses to comments, with every intention of emailing them, but then my brain considers that done somehow and I totally forget!!

Wow. We have so much in common!

I don't always put away my laundry.

I don't always put up my shoes, either. In fact, I probably have at least 10 pairs in different spots throughout the house, mostly in our bedroom. Yikes!
