The 12 Days of Love Letter Writing

So you all know I'm really involved with The World Needs More Love Letters. But what you might not know is each month we pick a love letter request that comes in and we send it out to our email subscribers, asking them to write that person a love letter. They in turn, mail their letter to our P.O. Box, and we tie up all the letters and send off a literal "bundle" to that person. (In fact, there was a post last week about the reaction of a bundle recipient - it made me cry!)

In November we changed it up a little bit and instead of one love letter request we created our barista bundles - and left them all over coffee shops in NYC.

And December? Well, December's going to be a little bit different and a whole lot of awesome. In fact, 12 days of awesome.

We've gathered twelve different love letter requests, and starting today have assigned each request a day, with the end goal being to send off 12 different bundles, just in time for the holidays. We have bloggers and various groups signed up for each day, and each blogger is asking their readers to write a letter for their request.

You can participate in this too! You can pledge letters and let us know via twitter or facebook, you can follow the love letters blog each day to read the request and see which blogger has it, and you can of course write love letters - as many as you want.

I'm going to be tweeting about it each day, and I'll try to let you know on here as well who has the requests, but I'd love for you to join this campaign. You can help brighten someone's holiday season - with just one letter.

I'll answer questions if you have them, but please check out the site to see more details. I'll be writing about the request I have next Thursday, so stay tuned! (And then maybe head over to Sarah's blog, because she's one of the lovely ladies kicking it off for us today).

Will you pledge a love letter for The 12 Days of Love Letter Writing?

Happy Monday!
