A good day

What a weekend. It was full of dog-sitting, salted caramel sauce-making (epic fail - more on that later), a video chat with a lovely friend, goal setting, and a five-year old's birthday party where kids attacked a pinata with an awesome ferocity.

I read two books, laughed with friends, and returned to The British Pantry for the first meeting of the romance novel book club with Megan and Sarah. (We were also joined by an English friend who gave us tips on how to have a proper tea!)
Can you spot me?
Yes, those were all as good as they look!
(I may have been a little obsessed with these centerpieces).

This weekend felt like a good day.

And man, have I needed that. There's been a lot going on lately, and it seems like December is flying by.

It was lovely.

Do you feel like this month has been going by quickly? How was your weekend? What do you do when you need to re-charge your batteries?

YES. Can we talk about how this is the week of Christmas and that is just nuts? 2011 has won the award for the fastest year ever.
What a fun weekend! Loved all your pretty pictures! :)

Yes, this month has flown by, as has 2011! I don't know where the year went, actually.

I had a great weekend, too. It was kind of my last free weekend before CFA studying so I did only things I enjoy. I baked dough balls & banana bread on Friday, I made beef in pomegranate sauce for dinner on Saturday, and also made home made chicken noodles soup (including homemade broth) to freeze for my surgery, and I made a lasagna to bake on Christmas Eve! Sunday I went to a Christmas concert and then had dinner at my aunt & uncles and we exchanged gifts. So lots of fun things!! Your weekend looked lovely!!

I'm a little obsessed with the centerpieces, too! Festive and classic. Pretty sure I'd be obsessed with that dessert tray, too...

I had a great, refreshing weekend as well and I feel ready to take on the last week before Christmas. LOVE weekends like that and I'm so glad you had a good one :)

Yes! This month (and year) are completely flying by. I can't believe 2011 is almost over. At least we had The Council to help us reflect and focus on what we want the new year to bring. Without that, I think I'd be stuck in a whirlwind.

This month is definitely flying by! I seriously can't believe Christmas is in 6 days.

It looks like you had a fun weekend! I spent the weekend Christmas shopping & baking - and I'm still not done! I have a plan though. :)
