It's like riding a bicycle

It's been awhile since I've done a wine and love post, but what better way to start a Thursday? If you don't know about this yet, you should! Nora hosts it - you share your wine and loves, link up, then see what everyone else is saying too! So without further ado...

Things this week that make me want to drink a glass (or bottle!) of wine:
*Sprint. I spent most of last Saturday talking and dealing with Sprint. Long story short, my phone would not send or receive text messages, and this was not the first time I had this problem. (I've only had this phone since May). They had fixed it once, but decided to give me a new phone to make sure the problem was totally taken care of. Except I'd had the new phone for two hours and it was having the same problem - a brand new phone, but they told me it wasn't a "known issue." Yeah.

*The dog who lives above us and owners-obviously-don't-walk-him-because-he-runs-all-the-time is moving. Well, the owners are moving, but they gave me false hope because they told me near the end of November they were moving at the end of the month. To me, that meant they'd be gone by December 1st. Not so much. I want to believe that means they're moving at the end of December, but I'm a little afraid to get my hopes up.

*I'm going to a funeral today. A former co-worker's wife passed away last week and there is a service today I'm attending with another co-worker. I didn't know the wife, but I worked closely with her husband for a few years and I cannot imagine what he is going through. Especially since they have eight kids. Holy sh*t.

Things I love this week:
*My new phone. After the debacle on Saturday I asked Sprint what they were going to do for me in the ways of a new, totally different, but equivalent phone. They gave me a list, I chose this one, and I'm a little bit in love. I was nervous to go to an all touch screen, but so far I love it! Plus, the mister is crazy jealous because according to him this phone is so much better than the one I had. (Is it bad that I think that's funny?)

*Our tree. We've had the decorations up for the holidays for a little while, but this is our first holiday season NOT in the tiny apartment in the basement, and it just feels...cozier. The tree is lit up from the moment I get home until I go to bed at night. It's lovely.

*The 12 days of love letter writing. Hannah and I knew this would be successful, but it's been exploding in the most awesome way - I'm so excited for the momentum to keep building as the days continue!

*That I can tell Ben the silliest, grossest, most inconsequential things and he'll sit and listen to me (or laugh with me) as if it's the only thing he needs to do. Boy, do I love that man.

What are your wine and loves today? As always, thanks to Nora for hosting - be sure to see what other people are saying. (And be sure to hop over to the Love Letters blog to see about today's request!)

I am glad you have a working phone now! That is ridic that you have not been able to send/receive texts. I had a feeling I wasn't getting all of yours as you'd stop mid-sentence and I would wait for another text, to no avail! Hope this one works. and the touch screen is touch initially but you will get used to it!

Wine: I don't feel all that great.

Love: I downloaded a duet sang by Sarah Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson called "Winter Song". LOVE. Check it out, you will love it, too, I think!!

It's so annoying not to have a working phone, isn't it? I'm glad that it got fixed for you!

Love your tree! We have ours on a lot as well and I just love it.

Love: that so many people joined in for Wine & Love today even though I have been a little MIA from blogging.

Wine: Potentially scary news and hearing about sadness and tragedy during the holidays.

Thank goodness you finally have a working phone! I still need to get one of the girls to test sending me an audio note though. Don't know what is up with my phone but it is ruining our audio note fun!!!

Ugh, I wish the people who lie above me would move out. Or the ones who live across from me. The people upstairs are ALWAYS MOVING, & the people across the way have the world's barkingest dogs...

Yay for Christmas trees! Every year when we get ours up, I love how cozy it is, and I wonder how I lived without it all year!
