In like a lion, out like a lamb

Tomorrow is the last day to vote in the Stratejoy Essay Contest so please head over there and vote for my essay - number 7 - if you haven't already! The voting closes at 5 o'clock PST tomorrow, and you can vote once per computer. Have an ipad, kindle, tablet, or smart phone? You can vote from EACH of those as well! Okay, vote real quick, then come back to find out why February was a flop!

Okay so I've talked on and on about how well I did with my January intention. I read nine books in a month and it was awesome. My reading tapered off a bit in February (as I figured it would), but I still read four more books!

My intention for February to go to bed at a decent hour? Epic fail. I can easily count on one hand how many times I got to bed by the 10:30 time I set for myself.

But that's okay. I'm not perfect, and going to bed early is something I'm still striving for. I could make myself repeat that goal for this month because I didn't truly accomplish it, but I think it's better to move on and quietly keep working towards more sleep.

My intention for March is to push myself with writing. I've been journaling more lately (thank you Joy Equation), in addition to writing more pieces that are a little more...raw, and vulnerable than I normally allow myself to be.

But I don't want to run scared anymore - I want to put myself out there with my writing, in whatever sense that means. (This blog is a big part of that, so don't be surprised if you see a few posts floating around that are a little more serious).

Do you have an intention for March? Did you have one for February? Was yours a big fat flop like mine or more of a success?

Happy March!

Just voted - I couldn't yesterday because work blocked the site ;-)

Going to bed early can be so hard! I think it's definitely something that takes practice.

I love your intention for March and I can't wait to see where it takes you/how much you grow.

I attended Jeff Goins' session at Blissdom, and he did a wonderful talk about falling in love with your writing. Check him out here:

I think he will speak to your soul :)

My February goal was to drink more water, & because I didn't set a measurable goal, I can sort of say I accomplished it. I drank A TON of water in Israel by necessity, & I've kept my filled Nalgene on my desk at all times during the work day.

My goal for March is to wake up before 9am every day. I have been WAY too lax with myself, working from home, & sometimes not showering until lunchtime. NO MORE. I hope. Hey, I woke up at 7:57 today!

I am looking forward to reading these posts in which you push yourself and are a bit more serious. I mean, I love all of your posts, but I really love the posts that show the heart and soul of the writer.

I don't have intentions... my main goal I am focusing on is my financial ones and I am doing ok thus far. I will pay my medical bills off - which i ma happy about because I just want them done and behind me, but also sad/sickened by them as i think what I could do with that monye..
