Yarn-a-licious

I've talked about how much I love knitting - I mean I even have video chats that involve it! - but I am also thankful for knitting.

I knitted for a bit in college but really got back into it this summer - it's incredibly relaxing. I throw on a favorite TV show or DVD, and after awhile my fingers seem to know what to do which lets my brain not have to be worrying or thinking or planning anything. Knitting is such a stress reliever for me - and while I've made a lot of scarves I'm actually starting to branch out into patterns now which is stressful and exciting!

I could go on and on about how much I love knitting, or I could just show you a few of the projects I've worked on in the past couple of months.
My favorite yarn store - aka a little slice of heaven!
My first cowl!
(Apparently I like to try on scarves once I've made them).
I'm excited to have discovered this hobby - I love creating beautiful things for people to wear! (You might see more about this on the blog soon - I might be selling a few items - let me know if you're interested!)

Do you knit? Do you follow patterns or make it up as you go?

What are you thankful for today?

I love all the items you knitted, but I especially love that hat with the sewed on button. So cute!

As you know, I love to knit. I usually follow a pattern. I love knitting because it's creative - BUT - it's structured. Hello, us type-A's do better with structure. ;) I am working on that infinity scarf you saw me making this week, and then I need to finish that purple shawl-type scarf, and then I want to finish up some arm warmers that I started working on like 3 years ago! Yikes! I have so many unfinished projects going!!

I have NO CLUE how to knit but I'm so fascinated by it. It's something that I need my gram to show me, actually. She bought me yarn and needles so it's imperative I make it happen, eh? Love the scarves you are making and the fact that you try them on. I would do the same thing :)

Um, I'd like to purchase the gray hat with the flower button in black please!

My mom is a great knitter, unfortunately I never learned.

These all look so cozy! I seem not to be able to get the hang of knitting. It's very disappointing!

I would love to be able to get into knitting as I love knitted items but I just can't get the hang of it. Or at least I couldn't a few years ago when I last tried it, maybe I should try again!

I find that I'm most inspired to knit when it starts getting colder. The summer months are for other crafts...like quilting/sewing 'n stuff ;)
