My February intention was to make the appearance and if you ask me, I blew it out of the water.
Let me give you a couple examples.
I didn't set an intention for March, but I want to maintain moment from February. I've found myself putting things off lately - small, inconsequential things like doing the dishes, picking up the apartment, or returning a quick email. I know the act itself will not take up a lot of time, but I keep letting small things pile up until I have to do something about it.
April's intention is simple: if it will take less than ten minutes, just do it.
If I could stay on the couch or put my dish in the dishwasher, I will just do it. If I could write down the amount of something purchased in our checkbook, I will just do it. If I could leave my coat on a chair or hang it in the closet, I will just do it.
You get the idea.
My hope is to get back into the habit of doing the little things (even though I'm not sure how I got out of the habit), and since those tasks will be done on a regular basis, I'll have less little stressors. I know it will make a difference when I come home to a picked up apartment, or open a cleaned out inbox.
Do you put off small things until you have to deal with them, or do you take care of chores right away? Do you set monthly intentions? What's your intention for April?
