Monday Motivation

Happy Monday! How about a little virtual coffee date to get us started this week?
If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you how I cannot believe that it's already June. We are at the halfway point of this year, people! (I feel like it was just yesterday when I was setting my intention to shimmer). I swear I'm going to blink and it'll be Thanksgiving!

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that I am pumped to see my niece in less than two weeks - her sass and energy never fail to make me laugh and I can't wait to see what adventures we create while she's here.

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you how proud I am of Ben. He spent the past four days at the Philly Comic Con to promote Ethan Stone P.I. and the days were long but he worked really hard. I love seeing/hearing people recognize how talented he is!

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that Design Love Fest is my go-to for desktop backgrounds. I'm a big fan of the monthly calendar backgrounds - but this is currently the background on my laptop and I think it'll be sticking around for awhile.

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you I am happier than I have been in awhile. There's been a change of attitude, of perspective, and moving forward. (More on this later).

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you how incredible it was to spend time with Kyla - it felt so right to meet up with her and Jesse, and it was hard to tell them goodbye. However, she came to D.C. when it was hot, and I'm determined to get to Winnipeg when it's cold!
These are our "we don't want to leave each other" faces!
If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you if things go according to plan, come August I will have officially traveled to 25 out of the 50 states which is one of the goals on my thirty before thirty list! Uh, and then I'd tell you that I should look at that list and maybe...update it before I turn 30 in a few months?

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you how I am SO ready for the freaking cicadas to be gone. People think they're cool because they only come out every 17 years but they are creepy and loud and really quite obnoxious when they're flying into you as you're trying to load stuff into your car. It's not okay that I do a quick check of myself and any bags I'm carrying before going inside to make sure I'm not bringing cicadas with me.

If we were having coffee this morning what would you tell me?

Happy June!

I love all of these- but especially that we got to hang out these past weekends! Highlight of my summer :)

I'd love to see your 30 before 30 updated as a post. I find that even the goals that I set for myself this year change so much based on what I want from the year as it unfolds and how I want the year to feel. I know that if I'd written one a few years ago it would probably be very different than the one I'd write now! I'd be curious to see when you wrote yours & if your priorities are the same

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you I feel like I need another day to regroup as I arrived home at 8 pm last night and now 12 hours later I'm back to work! I would tell you that it is definitely easier coming west and gaining 3 hours than it is going east and losing them though!

I would also tell you that the photo of you and Kyla is SO cute and I'm so happy you guys got to meet up!

YAY KYLA HUGS! How awesome that you guys were able to hang out and enjoy time with one another. That's awesome.

And a huge heck yes to the year flying by. It's insanity. I can't believe what month we are in =)

I love these virtual coffee date posts! They especially brighten up gloomy Mondays. :)

I can't believe it's June, either! Where does the time go?! And your 30 before 30 is SO cool— I have a goal of traveling to as many states as possible, as well. Keep going strong!

If we were having "virtual" coffee today, I'd tell you that I'm excited to meet you in June at the MLL Summit!

Yay, I love coffee date posts. I love your goal to visit 25 states before 30. I wonder how many states I've been to! I am turning 29 in a few days so maybe it's time to make a 30 before 30 list? I'm terrible at those kind of things though, I can only work in like a 1 month span. Maybe I'll do a few things each month towards it haha.

I am a little surprised that we don't have cicadas here! Or if we do, they are not as bad as they are in DC!

I can't believe it's June either, but am so glad that the year is almost half over... but I have a different perspective than most people about time right now as it can't go fast enough for me.

If we were having coffee, I'd tell you that I am starting to think less about the exam and that someone should block this forum for CFA candidates as I drive myself crazy looking at it and seeing people's thoughts on the exam. I'd tell you that I am trying to plan at least one thing a weekend for the rest of the month. Lastly, I'd tell you that I am pulling out the book of awesome that you sent me to figure out what adventure I will have this weekend. It will likely be on my own but at least I am getting out and doing SOMETHING.

Your happiness is obvious, Becky; it flies off the pages of this post! If we were having coffee this morning, I'd agree with you that this year is flying by; and then, I'd remind you that the halfway point isn't technically until June is over; and, then I'd hope you'd laugh with me, because I am into technical correctness and the like.

I love that photo of you & Kyla! I can definitely see the "I don't want to leave!" in both of your faces. So glad you got to meet up!
