A couple years ago I pledged to have
a handmade holiday,
buying handmade gifts for everyone on our shopping list, and with the
exception of one or two things I accomplished it. I started
this series the next year to share some of my favorite handmade finds with you and I had such a good time I thought I'd bring it back again! I know it's only early November but for the next few weeks I'll be sharing some great handmade items in hopes that you'll join me in making handmade a part of your holiday!
And what could be better to kick this series off than love?
You know how I love the written word, and I think this
adventure print from
B is for Bonnie is the sweetest. (I admit, it makes me feel all swoon-y!)
Speaking of feeling swoon-y (yes, I recognize that is not a real word - just go with it, hmm?), how great is
this mug?
Brookish is an Etsy shop
I continually go back to - great customer service and I love the variety of their items!
Know any newlyweds who will be celebrating their first holiday, or maybe just a couple of lovebirds? How about
this print from
Kari Machal Designs? You can customize everything from the initials and dates to colors!
And last but not least, this
lovestruck necklace from
Lisa Leonard Designs is pretty and whimsical and would work for a spouse, sibling, or a best friend!
Have you ever had a handmade holiday? Would you gift any of these items to your nearest and dearest?
Happy hump day!

I love the idea of a homemade Christmas :) I tend to do a lot of event and photo gifts, but I think if I am going to go a different route I may try to go homemade (by someone else) too!
I love that mug SO MUCH, can I buy it for myself? No... no Kelly haha.
Thank you for this! I was just mentally brainstorming handmade/homemade ideas for Christmas presents so thank you for the inspiration-- can't wait to see what else you come up with :)
You find the most awesome stuff =) I love the lovestruck necklace. So fun! I usually shop local as much as possible but not sure what my plans are for this year. Considering D wants a wine fridge that may make handmade/local shopping difficult ;)
I, too, love the idea of a homemade Christmas. I often buy gifts from Lisa Leonard or Etsy shops. This year part of my parents gift will come from an Etsy shop. I love the items you select. seeing the brookish mug makes me mourn for my stolen "life is full of unexpected beauty" mug that was stolen at work. sob.
yep i pretty much love all of those stores. Etsy is my crack and i know i'll be giving lots of money to it this holiday season.
I love those prints!
