You will always have love

It's still the best time of the year. The 12 Days of Love Letter Writing is going strong and today I need your help for an extra special request.

Today's request is for Jenna + Paul

Request:
A close friend of Jordan’s parents, Jenna and Paul sent us this request. She writes: “Jenna + Paul just had a beautiful baby boy with a grin that could melt your heart…Now, at nearly three months old,  their baby boy has been diagnosed with Type 1 Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).

Jenna and Paul will make their little boy's life as normal as possible and it is their hope that he will not experience any pain, he will remain interactive and cognitively normal.

Their little boy is loved by so many people that have never even met him, including myself. In the midst of this devastating news, Jenna and Paul have continued to show unconditional love and nurturing for their son. They are not giving up hope for him, and have used to power of social media to ask for prayers from their closest family and friends. However, I want Jenna, Paul and their baby to know that they are supported by people from all over the world. It’s never too late for a miracle, and I believe a little extra LOVE during the holidays will remind Jenna and Paul that they have been blessed with such a wonderful son.” Join us in sending love and encouragement to this family!

This request touched my heart on so many levels. So last night I sat down and let the words come pouring out for Jenna and Paul.
"Making a decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide to forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body." - Elizabeth Stone

Dear Jenna & Paul,

You are amazing. You are incredible. You are the best parents for your son! Having a child is an incredible joy and I know your son is no different. You delight in his smiles, when he looks and really sees you - and regardless of what SMA brings you will love and cherish him. You know this. I know this. But guess what?

He knows it too.

He may not be able to say those three words yet but he is so aware of the love you have for him. Children are the greatest imitators - so he is simply showing you the love the way you've shown him.

I'm sure there are hard days ahead, but you have a community of people that are rallying around you - delighting in your family. You will always have love. From us, with each other, your son - you are simply surrounded.

Wishing you the best and brightest this season!

Love,
Becky

Will you join me in sending Jenna and Paul some love this season? Please send it to:

Oh, wow. Yup, pen to paper it is tonight!
I had a small and tiny group (as in party of two total) for More Love Letters party last night but we wrote 8 letters anyway. I'm sending them out tomorrow.
