*Necklaces are my jam. I got a pendant with the August birthstone (when I was due), and have been wearing it nonstop. I also ordered this from The Adopt Shoppe and it should be arriving soon!

*I finished reading Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker. (Review on Goodreads!) It's a historical novel that's interesting but was easy to pick up and put down which really worked for me. (Although I still kind of wish I were reading this).

*I've found comfort in naming our girl; it's nice that to not just think of "it" or "the baby," but rather our daughter, Cecelia.

*I was interviewed for a podcast by a favorite blogger of mine and had a blast! I'll let you know when it goes live but be warned I'll be sporting Rachel Zoe size sunglasses that day for what I'm sure will be a flurry of paparazzi action.

*I'm inspired by all kinds of things - especially this print from a friend.
*I'm relaxing a little on the knitting front - not for too long, (let's be real, it keeps me sane), but I recently made a baby blanket for an expecting friend and did not run out of yarn, get confused by the pattern, or stay up until 1 AM in tears. Progress indeed!
A little blurry, but this photo really shows the color!
*I don't mind the snow and the cold weather; however, I am thankful I don't live in a city where it has been negative 30 degrees. Sheesh!

*I'm grateful, grateful, oh so very grateful for our friends, family, and this incredible blog community of support.

What have you been up to lately?

That blanket is so so so beautiful. Your friend is going to love it and I am amazed at how fast you knitted it! Amazing!

Lately I have been job searching, worrying I won't find something, and stressed about some things at work. But on the positive side, I'm constantly reminded that I have a wonderful support network of friends and family.

I love that blanket! So pretty and looks very, very cozy.

Lately, I have been up to Scandal TV binges, dating again, and 9pm bedtimes! :)

I love that blanket - the colour is beautiful!

Lately I have been planning our trip, enjoying evenings at home puttering around and reading my book and thinking about whether or not to do another 30 day yoga challenge!

I went as Rachel Zoe for Halloween a few years ago. I'll send you the sunglasses from my costume ;) FYI: Rachel Zoe is a goddess and I worship her. She is the only reality star I'd want to know in real life because I am quite certain that we would be best friends and she and Rodger and me and Chris would double date whenever they were in New York and be best couple friends and they'd love and trust us so much that when they needed a date night they'd leave the boys with us and the boys would call me Auntie Alli and... oh, um... welcome to the inside of my head. It's a scary place sometimes.

I can't wait to heart he podcast! I also find it so amazing that in the midst of your grief you can put that much time and effort into a blanket for an expecting friend, you are a truly amazing person, you know that right? Also the blanket is amazing!

You know where I've been these days. Today i'm rocking my new 'do with some curls (too lazy/woke up too late to blow dry it), the scarf you made me & the necklace you sent me, my brave bracelet and earrings from my mom. I'm armed for battle :) xo
