Tidbits

Happy almost Friday! What's better than a bullet-style post to end your week? (The answer is nothing. Nothing is better than this. Obviously).

*Tomorrow is Halloween! I really don't care too much about this holiday but I am pumped this year because we should get a decent amount of trick-or-treaters! We never got them in the apartment and I can't wait to see all the different costumes!
You come to my house - you will get candy
*I am tearing through romance novels this year. I'm thinking about starting the first Game of Thrones book soon, but romances are fun and such a good escape so we'll see. I might just dub this the year of reading the romance novel. (Or something else with a way more clever title).

*If I haven't said it already, thank you. Thank you so much for all your excitement and happiness when I shared our news. And thank you for letting me be real about infertility and pregnancy, simultaneously. I feel very blessed.

*Along those same lines, I wanted to give you all a heads up I am going to do pregnancy post updates. I thought about this for a long time - I want to be sensitive to my fellow infertility warriors, but writing out how I'm feeling is such a part of who I am, and I want to be true to myself as well. Right now my plan is to do them bi-weekly and I will not be offended if you don't read/comment on them. I've been there. And I promise this blog won't become all pregnancy all the time!

*Fall is here! Fall is here! It's finally starting to get cooler here and I'm loving it. You can count on any Instagram photos from here on out involving a scarf or boots of some kind. (Don't hate summer lovers - you had your time).

*Ben and I have a weekend getaway with a few friends coming up soon and I cannot wait! We won't exactly be camping, but we'll be a lot more in nature then we normally are and it makes my Girl Scout heart so happy.

What's currently going on in your world? Are you handing out Halloween candy tomorrow night? Or dressing up? Happy almost Friday!

LOL I love the romance novel! They are just such an escape for me. Susan Elizabeth Phillips is one of my favorites, as is Norah Roberts.

I won't see trick or treaters at my house but tomorrow morning I will be helping with the day care trick or treaters who come through our office for trick or treating. I think I'm wearing a sparkly top and calling myself a disco ball for my costume :)

Happy almost Friday!

"Don't hate summer lovers - you had your time." Ha. Exactly. :)

I miss passing out candy to trick-or-treaters. I did it a couple times from my mom's house in high school & college & really loved it. Have fun tomorrow night!

I love fall but I do not love that it is 28 degrees right now and 16 degees with the windchill. :( Boooo!! I'm currently in the midst of a busy week of Halloween festivities. I don't particularly like this holiday but it has been fun to have some Halloween-themed social plans, especially our pumpkin carving party! But I am currently ready for November because I am trying to make it a MUCH LESS PLANNED month. October was just too much. We are handing out Halloween candy at Phil's tonight which I am excited about! And tomorrow night we are going to a party and I am dressing up as a cat as it was an easy/cheap costume.

We are def handing out candy to the trick-or-treaters! I'm excited. We know a lot of the neighborhood kids and it's fun to see what they decided to dress up as.

I love how HAPPY this post sounds, Becky (or at least it sounds happy in my head as I read it). YOU have a lot to be happy about. Seriously. Also, thumbs up to your decision to blog about pregnancy. This blog is about your life, not just about your infertility. So, you should feel comfortable writing about all of it.We are supposed to go trick or treating with some of Gavin's friends tonight, but it's going to be cold, very windy with some sort of precipitation (rain, sleet snow, who knows!), which makes me want to get into pajamas and curl up under a blanket. ha. Stay tuned, I guess... (and have fun tonight!).

I dressed up for Halloween for work, but that's the extent of my Halloween spirit. :) And since I live in an apartment, no trick or treaters for me. It would be fun to pass out candy, but I'm sure Dutch would be a mess, ha, so it's probably better this way.

Look, man. You were my infertility buddy. Now you don't have to be. The fact that your situation changed though doesn't mean you don't still understand mine, and it doesn't mean I can't be happy for you. That's a lot of negatives in that sentence but I trust an English major to sort it out.

You were sensitive when the situation called for sensitivity. That is all decorum required. Don't EVER dampen your light or your happiness just because someone else might have trouble looking at it. That's what sunglasses are for. <3

It was pouring rain yesterday so we got way less trick or treaters than usual which means way too much leftover candy for me! Not a good combo! That's fun you got trick or treaters for the first time ever though. I'm excited to hear about your "almost camping" weekend getaway goes :)

I want to go trick or treating at your house! We took Isla trick or treating and she was literally running down the road yelling at my mom to go faster because she wanted to get MORE CANDY! It was beautiful. I am a summer lover and I loved fall. The fall we had in October. Now we hit gusting winds and temperatures in the 20s THAT IS NOT FALL! THE LEAVES ARE DEAD ON THE GROUND. AHHHHH. WAHHHH.
