A home to cherish

It's day two of my Ten Days of Thankful series; every day from now until Thanksgiving I'll post about something I'm thankful for - I'd love for you to join me!

Today I am thankful to love where I live. Our move this summer was a long time coming, and while there were things I enjoyed about living in a one-bedroom apartment, every day when I come home, I smile as soon as I walk through the door.
Our white picket fence!
More space yes, but just...being happy where we are, and making this not just a house, but a home we cherish completely.

Have you ever felt this way about somewhere you've lived?

What are you thankful for today?

I absolutely feel like this about where I live right now. It's the right amount of space for me, it's safe, the building has wonderful amenities, the location is great, and I can walk to work/church/the grocery store/target/etc. What's not to love? :)

I am so so so happy that you guys were able to move into a home with more space. I know you made the most of those years of living in a 1 bedroom apartment, but it wears on a person to feel cramped in their space. Add in God awful neighbors and, well, I totally understand why you were SO ready to move out! And the timing of your move was obviously perfect as now you'll have more room when Lemon arrives. :)

I love our house; sure we have had our challenges with it (I'm looking at you, master bathroom) but we have managed to transform it into our home and it makes me so happy to go home everyday.

Hope I can check out the new place in 2015 =)

I feel the same way, though I did love my little apartment as well. When my boyfriend moved in with me it felt very cramped and uncomfortable. It worked out that my grandma moved into assisted living a month later and we had the opportunity to buy her house, so we are! We moved in last month and will rent for 6 months while my dad (her POA) gets the house ready for sale. It needs work - mostly cosmetic, thank goodness - but we love it and are so grateful that everything worked out the way it did. I am glad you were able to find a home you love this year! I have been unhappy with my place of residence in the past and it really affected my mood and quality of life - I'm sure you can relate!

I adore where I live, and I'm pretty sad I'm going to have to move next year. I wish I could stay here forever! The apartment is big enough for my mom and me (and my stepdad, when he's not on the road), the community is great, and my neighbors are AWESOME. Quiet and low-key... I rarely know they're even home! (Such a rarity, I know!) It's such a cute little apartment.

I'm so happy you and Ben were able to move to this new place. I still can't get over the fact you have a WHITE PICKET FENCE. Haha - I love that! <3

Love your white picket fence! I love our home too. We've been in it for coming up 4 years now and it's still so great and perfect for us. I don't see us moving anytime soon and I'm ok with that!
