November Intentions

I've been reading some great October recap posts and it's motivating me to set some intentions for November! (Note that I'm purposefully using the word intention and not goal, because if I don't do it/accomplish it, it's not the end of the world, but these are all things I'd like to strive for).

1. Limit how I spend my time in the evenings. My energy level has gotten a little bit better, but I swear the minute I start talking about no longer getting sick I have a puke-fest. In order to try and curb that, I really want to only do two or three big things a night. For instance, if I need to do laundry, take a shower, and make dinner, that's it - all my three things for the evenings. This will require a decent amount of discipline but I also think will provide for a more rested, better version of Becky.

2. Enjoy time with Ben. This sounds silly, right? I mean, I always enjoy hanging out with him, but as we get into the swing of holidays our schedule gets a little insane. Between prenatal appointments for me and doctor's appointments for him (he's having eye surgery in December and there are a lot of pre-appointments), and us working kind of opposite schedules, I'm lucky if I get an hour or two with him most weeknights. So, when we're both home I really want to take advantage of doing things together - even if it is just the dishes.

3. Blog more. I actually think I will be all over this one! I have another Giving Tuesday post planned, I'm going to bring back my 10 Days of Thankful, and get started on my Handmade Holiday series!

4. Savor the season. While I'm loving the cooler weather, I'm not loving that fall is already starting to slowly fade. I want to appreciate the leaves while they're still on the trees. Fall is a season of change and while it's always my favorite, it's even more symbolic for me this year. There are a lot of changes happening for me - some visible, some not, but I want to savor the season before we move onto winter.

Do you set monthly intentions? What will your November look like?

These all sound great :) I set monthly intentions, I call them goals but I don't care when I don't meet them which is often ha ha. I like your idea of 3 things per night. The whole resting thing was tough for me in pregnancy, especially when I was at the point you are at now because I got a lot of my energy back... but you are growing a human so that = the main productive thing you are going to do each day!

Oh I love that you used my photo!! That was a beautiful day and I am glad I took photos because our leaves are LONG GONE and it's gotten much colder!

I think your list is great, and I also like the 3 things/night thing. I need to work on planning less/expecting less of myself on the weekends as I am often dashing like a madwoman from one task to the next. My biggest goal for November is to plan less overall because as awesome as October was, it exhausted me! So far November has been way more low key and I want to keep it that way!

I think those are great intentions! Overall I just want to try and slow down a bit in November. I felt like October was a pretty fast paced month for me and I would just like more time to rest and relax in November. I am trying really hard to keep the majority of my weeknight evenings free of ANY commitments as busy evenings is what burns me out the most.

I would be a-ok with November being a little bit slower than other months, considering how fast this year is going. My intention this month is to continue to rehab my silly hips/back so that I can slowly ramp up working out. I'm on 17 more days of no working out (only walking) and then I can get started. I'm excited!

The 3-thing intention for your evenings is such a smart one! It's a good reminder to not do too much, relax, and enjoy your evenings. :)

I don't really have any goals/intentions for November. I've been in a funk for a while, so I think my goal is to just... be. Be present, be mindful, be open to new things. And have fun in Savannah at the end of this month.
